About this opportunity

Telecom business is transforming into cloud based solutions with more open interfaces. This drives a great need for increased automation and introduction of AI/ML services in Radio Access Networks (RAN).

The Cloud RAN Intelligent Automation Department is responsible for the Life Cycle Management solution for our RAN. Our vision is an autonomous RAN with a minimum of manual interactions and we will build assurance solutions to always optimize the network configuration for best customer experience. We are growing our organization with a skilled person in software development with special interest in systemization and architecture. We search for a person who is eager to join us in our journey to build something truly exciting!

You will face new technics and methods, like microservices and AI/ML also integrating CNCF components into Ericsson Cloud RAN solution, at the same time as the system architecture and the solutions are being developed. You need to be comfortable to work on unspecified tasks and changing requirements.

What you will do

• Conduct requirement analysis to ensure a clear understanding of stakeholder expectations, business goals, and quality standards.
• Conduct impact analysis and feasibility assessment of the requirements. Identify technical constraints and suggest potential solutions.
• Conduct pre-design activities such as driving/specifying solutions of use cases and break-down into smaller pieces
• Participate in design activities, such as analyze, design and code implementation, test development and documentation.
• Participate in integration activities and continuously perform system integration of what’s been developed.
• Follow our features all the way to customer making sure it works as expected.
• Daily collaborate with the other team members to reach our delivery goals.
• Engage and suggest changes to improve our performance.

• Large interest in continuously develop your personal competences and skills.
• MSc or BSc level in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent level of knowledge.
• Experience in system development in large SW systems.
• At least 4-6 years of experience from software development and skills in object-oriented programming languages such as Golang, C++, Java and Cloud Native SW development
• Experience with some of the following: Git, Docker, Jenkins, Spinnaker
• Experience with open source and proprietary cloud and virtualization technologies (Kubernetes, OpenStack, Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Proficiency in English in conversation and writing.
• Knowledge within any of the areas Telecommunication, Cloud Native Systems or Agile ways of working is beneficial.
