Founded in 2016, Einride became the first company in the world to deploy a cab-less autonomous electric vehicle on a public road (Sweden, 2019). In 2022, we were the first to successfully operate such a vehicle on a US public road. Today our award-winning technology has been launched across 8 countries (and counting). Our clients are some of the worlds biggest shippers, including Fortune 500 companies. We are also operating Swedens largest truck dedicated public charging network and counting.
In this role, you will be joining one of the teams working on our freight management platform for electric transport. The platform includes systems for handling vehicle telematics and backends, systems and interfaces for transport planning, and machine learning models for energy consumption. We are looking for an enthusiastic, humble and creative Data Engineer who is passionate about creating simple, beautiful and helpful solutions to empower the transport industry to go electric.
As a Senior Data Engineer at Einride
We do not only expect you to have raw technical skills, those are table stakes for a Senior Engineer. We expect you to be a leader that can elevate our Data Engineering practice to the next level. This is an exciting time to join Einride as we are in a process of revamping core parts of our operational software to align with an evolving business model. The corresponding analytical data models are considered to be first class citizens, and our Senior Data Engineer therefore plays an integral role in building and safeguarding the connection between our business objectives, analytical data model and operational data model.
You will
- Develop strategy and architecture for collecting, organizing and leveraging data
- Foster data engineering craftsmanship and mentor junior data engineers
- Build high quality data pipelines to power dashboards, business reports and machine learning models
- Work with external and internal data consumers to understand and predict their needs in terms of datasets
We Expect You To
- Have extensive experience in working hands-on with real-world datasets
- Are fluent in modern, cloud-native data engineering tools. We use SQL, BigQuery, dbt, Dagster and Google Pub/Sub among others.
- Have experience with some general-purpose programming language such as Python, Java or Go
- Are eager to champion data engineering best practices and guide colleagues in their adoption
Ideally You Also Bring
- Experience with data engineering and data architecture in Google Cloud Platform
- Experience from setting up data flows that provide automated verification and error handling
